Who we support
Taking part in the BG Energy Challenge is about more than an exciting weekend in the great outdoors; it is also about raising essential funds for charity.
Since 1996, worldwide BG Group Energy Challenge events have raised over £6.2 million. The BG Energy Challenge - UK raises funds for two charities; CARE International and Sparks.
To take part in the event, teams are required to raise a minimum of £5 000 each. Many teams raise more than double this amount; in 2011 38 teams raised just over £235 000.
Teams have the choice to donate all of the money raised to either charity or split the funds equally between the two.
