Team Applications
Q. How do I make a team application for the BG Energy Challenge 2009 – Kazakhstan?
A. Complete the online Team application form. If your application is accepted, you will then receive further instructions for registration.
Q. Can I apply to register more than one team for my company?
A. Yes. Complete the online Team application form once for each team you wish to register. You will receive an email telling you whether the applications have been successful.
Q. Can I register if I do not know the team name yet?
A. Yes. When asked for team name, just use your company name. You can go back and change the name later via the ‘Change Team Details’ link given below.
Q. Can I register if I do not know all the competitors yet?
A. Yes. Competitors do not need to register until after the Team Application has been accepted.
Q. What is the cost of entering a team?
A. The cost is $5000USD per team of 5 people. This includes accommodation, meals, transport from Astana to Zerendy, use of specialist equipment, as well as the charity fee.
Q. How many people are on a team?
A. Each team includes 5 people. Some stages involve all 5 competitors and for some one member can rest as a substitute.
Competitor Registration and Medical info
Q. Do I need to include insurance information?
A. If you are not a Kazakh national, you do need to include insurance information. This is so that in the event of an accident or medical problems, your emergency evacuation, medical treatment and repatriation costs will be paid for. Red Rock International cannot accept non-Kazakh nationals who have not provided full insurance details.
Q. What vaccinations do I need if I am travelling to Kazakhstan?
A. The following are recommended: Typhoid, Tetanus and Hepatitis A. Ask your doctor for full advice on travel vaccinations.
Making Changes to Teams
Q. How do I make changes to the contact information I gave in the Team Application Form?
A. Click on the ‘Change Team Details’ link and use your password and team reference to login.
Q. Can I move registered competitors to a different team?
A. Yes – as long as you have Team Administrator login details for both the team you are moving from and the team you are moving to.
o Login to the ‘Change Team Details’ page for the team you wish to move a competitor from. You will see a list of all Competitors registered under that team. For the competitor you wish to move, select the new team name and enter its password in the ‘Move Competitor to a different team’ column. Press the ‘Update record’ button to apply the change.
Q. Can I delete the details of a competitor who will no longer be in the team?
A. Yes. Login to the ‘Change Team Details’ page. Select the competitor who you wish to remove and press delete. This operation cannot be undone.
Q. Can I change the Team Name?
A. Yes. The Team Administrator can login to the ‘Change Team Details’ page. Delete the Team name shown, enter the new name and click on the ‘Update record’ button at the bottom of the page.
