Employees from media companies Kursiv, Delovoy Kazakhstan, Liter, Info-Tses and Europe + took to the foothills of Zalaski Alatau Mountains on 26 July 2008 for the first Media team training session in preparation for this year’s BG Energy Challenge – Kazakhstan event.
The event, which takes place from 5-7 September in Borovoe will see up to 40 teams participate including two mixed media teams comprising employees from Kursiv, Delovoy Kazakhstan, Liter, Info-Tses, panorama, Novoye Pokoleniye, Moskovski Komsomolets, Kazakhstanskaya Pravda and Capital.
The Media Team first participated in the event in 2006 when they finished a respectable second, only to finish outside the top three in 2007. With this in mind, the Media team has decided to train hard for this year’s event in the hope that they will once again finish near the top of the leader board.
The first training session was held under the guidance of coaches and instructors from Renessance PR Agency, where they were challenged with a variety of physical and mental tasks.
Ms Assel Ibrayeva, Communications & Marketing Advisor, BG Kazakhstan and project manager of the BG Energy Challenge joined the Media Team to support their efforts.
The training session concluded with the Media Team selecting a team captain, delegating responsibilities, defining roles and agreeing to a training schedule. Team captains are: Media Team 1: Pyartel Kiril of Info-Tses and Media Team 2: Karim Toktabayev of Delovoy Kazakhstan.
